There are two ways to find the image you're looking for, they are keyword searching and category searching.

Searching by Keywords:

Enter your keyword(s) in the blank field at the top of the page and click 'Search'. This can be a name, title, or subject. (For example 'Elizabeth Taylor', 'Breakfast at Tiffany's', 'hospital'. Other typical subject searches might be 'jewellery', 'blonde', 'guitar' etc.)
The wording is not case sensitive.

Searching by Categories:

Every image in our collection is categorized under relevant headings, you can browse images by selecting the category heading from the Browse our Categories section. Within a category you can narrow your search by selecting a sub-category. Make a choice from this and use the Next button to take you through a predefined selection. (For example if you need to illustrate a feature on holidays choose the Themes heading, then Leisure).

Images appear on screen at 72 dpi with a watermark. High-resolution images are supplied scanned at 300 dpi to approximately A4. A very small number of our images are supplied at approximately A5.

For many of the images online there are low-resolution, un-watermarked images available for instant download. These images are usually JPEG's of about 800x600 pixels (~50kb).

If low-res images are suitable for your needs we can allow you instant access to these images, please contact us for more information.

Light-boxes allow you to collect together a selection of pictures and comments.

• You can create a new light-box for each project.
• Light-boxes can be emailed to friends/colleagues so that they can add comments before you place an order with us.
• You can add pictures directly from your light-boxes to your shopping basket and submit the order online.
• You can delete a light-box once a project has finished (a light-box expires automatically after a month without use).

You need to have registered an account with us before we supply any images for use. (See Registering an Account for more information)

Add your image choices to your Shopping Basket and step through the ordering process. We will need exact details of how you want to use the material. There are restrictions on the use of some images.

Subject to agreement on use, pricing etc. we normally supply images as JPEG email attachments.

Once your order has been placed you will receive a confirmation email and we will then advise you how long it will take to deliver your order. During this time you can check the status of your order by logging in to My Account, and viewing View Orders.

You need to register an account to make full use of the pictorialpress.com website. Once you have registered you can search our catalog of images and place orders through our online ordering system.

Use My Account to:

• Check the status of any current orders.
• View any current and previous orders you have placed.
• Change your login password.
• Change your contact details you entered when registering.

For security when accessing My Account you will need to login using the email address and password you specified when registering. (If you have forgotten your password, click here.
